For my Mini I have ordered these from china

together with a charger and a pair of trustfire just to try them.

I am sure I will eventually buy AW IMR :)

I will post a mini comparison when my mini arrives.

I have used these and they gave comparable run time to the AW IMR for the first few weeks then they dropped in performance drastically and would not even hold a charge after a few months where I have AW IMR that are well over a year old and still kicking ass... IMO you get what you pay for and that's why they are half the price... they'll only last half as long IF THAT.

Cheers for the good info Wood Artist. I hear you say there can be problems, using the UltraFire WF-139 charger on 18350 batteries. Well my WF-138 charger stopped working yesterday, could you reccommend a suitable charger/s for me please. Thanks. :D

The newer WF-139 aren't so bad... was mostly problems with the older ones. The WF-188 is a real good inexpensive charger (plus it will charge the 3v batteries as well. Trustfire TR-003 works nice ass well and has 4 bays. I personally use mostly my Pila but that is a pricey one and the others I listed will do just as well.

Thanks again WoodArtist, I have been doing some research. Despite the fact I would love a Pila :) I have settled at so far, at a choice between the WF-188,
XTAR WP2 II, or a 4Sevens single bay smart charger.

*Edit. Just bought a XTAR WP2 II, the fact it can be charged via USB helped, plus I could find no UK sellers for the WF-188.

In my opinion, IMR 18350 is safe.
However, 18350 protected battery is safe too.

Now, depends on what devices are used. For 1 battery no-VV mods or 1-battery spep-up mods IMR is the best choice.
For 2-battery vv mods or step-down (yes!!! ) mods no matter what batteries use, but 18350 protected batteries is a good choice.

Thanks to the info from my Brothers and Sisters here on the WALL, I ordered the AW IMR 18350 batteries to use in my Zen MINI. Now for my next question, what Charger do you guys recommend? I have been looking at the one below but have ready that the early version of Ultrafire W-139 sometimes overcharges the batteries. Also, I am not sure about the "Rapid Charger" language. What do you guys think?

TrustFire power drops very fast. So after hour or so , it is ready to be charged again.
Stick to AW.

Will it charge the 18350 batteries? In the product description it leaves that battery out for some reason.

Yes make sure the one you buy has the spacers as some early ones came without.

Also make sure it's the WP2 II and not the WP2. They are really not the same ;-)

AW IMR from EU are expensive. But if you insist, I used in emergency cases http://www.ledfiretorches.co.uk/ twice, last time in January. Next or same day shipping, no problems. Many of the uk ecig stores also carry AW's (also darn expensive :P)
